Loetz Glass Jugs designed by Marie Kirschner
Antique glass jugs produced by German glassware giant Loetz circa 1905, with generous slot handles and dramatic crackle texture which belies their age.
Loetz were pushing the boundaries of glass manufacturing and design at the turn of the century and these jugs are thought to be a design by Marie Kirschner, a female glass designer whose contribution is often overlooked. These jugs in particular are frequently misattributed to another male designer working for Loetz in the early 1900s.
